Lionscape Coalition Funding And Support Partners

Overview

In March, 2019, the Lion Recovery Fund formed a new initiative - the Lionscape Coalition. This allows Africa’s top tourism operators to take a lead in supporting on-the-ground conservation work and to encourage their visitors to support efforts to secure the future of wild lions. The founding members of the Coalition are Ultimate Safaris (through the Conservation Travel Foundation and in partnership with the Thika Foundation and The Explorations Company), Singita, &Beyond and Wilderness Safaris. To date the Lion Recovery Fund has invested US$ 6.5 million into the conservation of Africa’s lions. The goal is to double Africa’s lion population by 2050 and reverse the loss of half its lions in the last 25 years.  For more information visit www.lionrecoveryfund.org
